Salary Range:
$37.782.00 – $66.120.00 This position is in the Appraisal Section of the Right of Way Unit and will be performing the many varied tasks required to satisfy the needs of the Right of Way Unit as it relates to the administrative work, working with consultants and contracting in the Appraisal Office. Develop, order and pay invoices on all Appraisal contracts in the Area. Develop, order, and pay all invoices associated with Right of Way cost estimates in the Area. Provide courteous customer service in a professional manner to both internal and external customers. Prepare, maintain and deliver monthly reports and appraisal fee proposals/contracts/invoices/transmittals in a timely manner. Process payroll and expenses in SAP and distribute the most current highway plans to the appropriate staff appraiser, fee appraiser or consultant. Manage the Appraisal consultant workload in the Area to and assign contracts based on scheduling, availability, and current project involvement. Check for accuracy of appraisal requests and maintain record keeping appraisal files. This position is in the Appraisal Section of the Right of Way Unit and will be performing the many varied tasks required to satisfy the needs of the Right of Way Unit as it relates to the administrative work in the Appraisal Office. Office location will be Charlotte, NC. The program area for this position includes one or more of the following: working knowledge of Right of Way business operations, experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable, and/or experience processing expenses in SAP. •This position is NOT eligible for teleworking•This position with NCDOT offers full State Benefits , competitive salaries and many career development opportunities. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following: Experience in computer software programs (MS Office Word and Excel), Internet, Outlook, SAP Experience in the use of a variety of office machines (computer, copier, fax, scanner, etc.) Customer service experience, including problem solving and resolving customer issues. Experience reviewing and processing claims, invoices and incoming/outgoing mail. Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with associates, officials, and the public. Experience with Right of Way Appraisal practices, standards and Appraisal contracts.
