Event/Program Coordinator Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Event/Program Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for successfully collaborating on events and projects with clients, vendors, and stakeholders. This role requires a proactive, self-driven individual who can manage all aspects of event and program marketing, website upkeep, and internal communications. The position is considered a part-time hourly position with the number of events determining the workload which currently varies.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful event and project execution. Manage all event and program marketing efforts, including website upkeep and internal communications. Utilize proficiency in WordPress, MemberPress, Checkfront, Canva, MailChimp, and other Microsoft Office software to support event and program initiatives. Direct all project management components of events, including planning, marketing, staffing, paperwork, and budgeting. Interview, train, and supervise staff to ensure smooth event operations. Leverage a background in hospitality and food service to enhance event experiences. Work with children, as there is a significant children’s segment of the program. Be available for weekend and evening events as the schedule dictates. Be accessible both on-site and off-site for planning, accommodating the instructors’ varied schedules. Take photos of food and events and post them on Facebook and Instagram. Work independently to create and follow necessary timelines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in event or program coordination. Proficiency in WordPress, MemberPress, Checkfront, Canva, MailChimp, and Microsoft Office software. Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Background in hospitality and food service. Experience working with children. Availability for weekend and evening events. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Photography skills and familiarity with social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Experience with on-line streaming venues (Tik-Tok, YouTube,etc.) beneficial.
