The Autism Society of North Carolina is currently hiring for an Autism Resource Specialist who will provide training, information, referral and other assistance to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families over a multi-county region. Must have lived experience as a parent or sibling of autistic individual.

As an Autism Resource Specialist, you will work with families directly and indirectly regarding IEPs and ISPs. Collaborate or intervene appropriately with providers, area mental health centers, Managed Care Organizations, government agencies, schools, university-related programs, facilities, local support groups, etc. You will provide in-person and telephone consultations, resources, referrals and support.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Bi-lingual in Spanish is helpful, but not a requirement.
Must have lived experience as a parent or sibling of autistic individual.
