Juvenile Diversion Program Coordinator Criminal Justice Alternatives 316 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh, NC 27601 Criminal Justice Alternatives is a not-for-profit agency that provides a variety of resources to Wake County’s Criminal Justice system. This position will be working with our Juvenile Services program and will provide day to day coordination of a diversion program for those aged 16&17, charged with traffic offenses in Wake County District Court. This position will plan, implement, administer, and monitor all aspects of this diversion program and will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders to receive referrals, providing case management to referrals, including monitoring compliance with diversion sanctions, and will collect data and track outcomes for program participants. The ideal candidate will have experience with: Juvenile and District Court processes in North Carolina Program and curriculum development Data management, office skills Case management for program participants Effective communication with stakeholders Preparing/reporting monthly program statistics to management/stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or other related field. Bilingual candidates encouraged. At minimum, the candidate will have 2 years’ experience with case management in a related field. The candidate must be organized and proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Candidates must be comfortable speaking publicly for our agency. This position requires some night and weekend work. Candidates must be comfortable working around youth and adult criminal defendants, and within a courtroom setting. Candidates will be required to pass a comprehensive criminal background check. •This position is grant funded through September 30, 2025. We expect current funding to be extended through June 30, 2026 and will seek ongoing funding after that.
