Position Purpose To serve as the primary point of contact for medical students seeking research opportunities, strengthening institutional support for medical student research and promoting student scholarly development. To streamline access to interdisciplinary research by connecting students with faculty mentors, research vice chairs, and institutional resources. To create and manage infrastructure that enhances student engagement and ensures a structured approach to research participation. To facilitate essential administrative functions, including travel reimbursement management, to remove barriers and support students in disseminating their research. Required Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Bachelor’s degree plus 35 years experience or the equivalent combination in education and experience.
Experience in program management, preferably in an academic or research setting.
Knowledge of research processes and academic requirements.
Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, proactively identifying improvement opportunities and resolving problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage logistical and administrative details of multiple tasks or projects.
Ability to work effectively, independently, and as a member of a team.
Proficiency in database management, spreadsheets, and other computer software.
Proficient with computer applications, including website updates and database entry and management.
Ability to maintain and foster confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and interact with all levels of employees, management, and leadership.
