The OpportunityThe Corporate Function Program Management Office(CFPMO) is seeking an experienced program manager to influence thedevelopment of a strategy and lead the project management executionfor critical investment operations and accounting programs. In thishighly visible role as a Program Management Lead within theInvestment Operations and Accounting Ecosystem effort, you will beresponsible for leading part of and influencing the strategy of oneof the largest and most transformative programs at MassMutual. Thisis a multi-year, significant effort with a deep investment ofattention and resources. It aims to enhance the operations thatdeliver complete, timely, and accurate data to enable informedinvestment decisions and high-quality financial reporting, whichcontributes to our
- financial strength for the benefit of ourpolicyowners.
Using your deep program management expertise andexperience managing programs similar in scale and impact, you willwork with stakeholders throughout the enterprise, especially in ourInvestment Management, Finance and Technology organizations as wellas subsidiary and third parties.
- The ideal candidate will have aproven track record managing transformational, enterprise-wide,complex projects with significant budgets and effectivelycoordinating and aligning a cross-functional team. The Team
- -Thisrole reports to the Portfolio lead within the Corporate FunctionProgram Management Office (CFPMO). The CFPMO was established tooversee the execution of projects across Corporate Finance,Enterprise Risk, Investment Management, Law, and HR & EmployeeExperience, as well as define and
- own project management standardsacross the company. The team is focused on creating
- morevisibility into this work, while enabling better
- improved-prioritization, collaboration, and execution.
- This rolewill leverage and champion the project management standards andpractices and partner with their CFPMO teammates, especially thePortfolio Managers aligned to each Corporate Function to ensurecoordination and address interdependencies between their portfoliosand the Investment Operations & Accounting Ecosystem Program.
KeyResponsibilities:
1.
- Program Planning and Strategy
- Leadthe identification of a specific program’s vision and strategy togovern, design, develop and implement the required capability
- Leadwork, partnering with the Program Sponsors, to establish timelines,set milestones and identify and acquire the resources required

- Stakeholder Management
- Understand the needs andexpectations of stakeholders throughout the Program GovernanceStructure, up to and including the senior leadership team, managingconcerns and feedback promptly Adhere to the established framework and oversee collaborationby driving discussions and decisioning, instilling consistency, andpromoting discipline in defining and managing the delivery of theprogram
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to all stakeholders,ensuring the program achieves the expected outcomes and goals3.
- Process Integration
- Ensure program execution strategy isaligned with business strategies, company policies and programexpected outcomes and delivered upon consistently forvalue-Analyze, understand and communicate the tradeoffs involvedwith project and program prioritization decisions4.
- ChangeManagement
- Build relationships and work closely with keystakeholders to identify areas of focus, anticipate change impacts,and assess change readiness
- Develop and deliver change managementstrategies to support a smooth transition, including effectivecommunication, training, and ongoing support
- Support this programthrough unexpected events, ambiguous information or changes inscope, timeline or stakeholder needs5. Program Governance
- Definesuccess metrics and monitor against established goals andmilestones
- Provide centralized and regular visibility via statusreporting and demand capacity monitoring
- Communicate risks, issuesand dependencies and drive collaborative, coordinateddecision-making and resolution efforts amongst stakeholders
- Enableand ensure consistent implementation of people, process andtechnology improvements and plans to sustain them6.
- TeamLeadership
- Provide clear direction, support, motivation anddevelopment opportunities to team membersRole model an agilemindset through change and ambiguity; inspire others and driveculture of continuous improvement
- The Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree
- and/or 10+ years of experience managinglarge-scale programs and effective change management 7+ years managing people/teams Proficient experience with Project Management tools includingbut not limited to: Atlassian Jira, Zephyr for Jira, Smartsheets aswell as MS Office Suite (Project, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint andWord) Certified in Scrum Alliance (CSM/CSPO), Scrum.
org(PSM/PSPO/PSD), SAFe Scaled Agilist, PMI-ACP, PMP is desired, butnot required Executive presence with ability to quickly build rapport andcultivate relationships; high-level of emotional intelligence Excellent communication and presentation skills; track recordof developing and delivering high
- impact presentations; effectivepublic speaking Astute business judgment, analytic, creative, andproblem-solving skill, with experience applying these skills toacquire and develop strategic partnerships
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies andsoftware
- Experience with investment operations and accountingtransformations at scale
- Knowledge of insurance carriers’ investment strategies,organization models and targeted outcomes.
The Ideal Qualifications Knowledge of MassMutual’s business strategy, capabilities,organizational structure and structure to quickly enable effectivecross-functional collaboration
- Experience leading project management with a focus on largescale technology and process reengineering projects
- Robust knowledge and experience with program management bestpractices, especially related to communications, reporting,prioritization, capacity and resource planning, forecasting,financial planning, change management, and performancemeasurement
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonalskills
