We provide long-term solutions to the problems of homelessness, addiction, incarceration, and poverty by helping the people we serve overcome obstacles and develop healthier, more self-sufficient lives. CBI Facilitator – Rochester, NY Full Time; M-F days SUMMARY The CBI Facilitator is responsible for helping incarcerated individuals reduce their risk of recidivism by providing evidenced-based group and individual interventions, including MRT and Interactive Journaling, in correctional facilities, including the Monroe Correctional Facility.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess participant referrals for program eligibility and risk of recidivism Conduct intake for eligible referrals Facilitate individualized psychoeducational trainings Facilitate Cognitive Based Intervention groups using the Moral Reconation Therapy and Interactive Journaling models in a correctional setting Facilitate one-on-one Cogitative Based Interventions using the Interactive Journaling model Facilitate Step by Step life skill workshops for women 2-4 times a week Develop and adapt Step by Step curriculum as needed Promote program offerings to inmates and correctional facility staff Maintain strong partnership with correctional facility staff Develop effective, supportive relationships with program participants Maintain detailed case notes and records and ensure that all VOAUPNY and contract obligations are met Maintain records and properly document all group activities Complete reports Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree in a behavioral or social science program from an accredited college or university, required Minimum three years experience in counseling, case management or a similar field Experience working with people who have been incarcerated, preferred Experience facilitating Cognitive based Interventions, preferred Ability to pass federal background check Clean NYS Drivers License Availability to work evenings and weekends as required Strong organizational skills. Working knowledge of MS Office products
