We offer small business development programs, culinary skills training, and job placement, bolstered by individualized, wraparound supportive services. Our small business program, HBK Incubates, supports entrepreneurs as they transform their food businesses into sustainable income sources. Culinary Fundamentals, our award-winning culinary training program, provides access to high-quality jobs for those starting their careers in the food industry. Our upskilling programs enable incumbent workers to gain further skills, leading to higher wages and career advancement. We work diligently alongside our network of over 200 food employer partners and more than 250 nonprofit and government partners to ensure our graduates are set up for success both at home and in their careers.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We seek a mission-driven, detail-oriented, and organized Program Coordinator. The primary focus of this position is to support our programs that support employer partners and upskilling, but this position may be requested to provide coverage and support for other programs as needed. This entails conducting intakes, communicating with employer partners, coordinating interviews, follow-up communication, and crucial data entry. This position reports directly to the Director Strategic Workforce Partnerships.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Interviews and Assessments:
Conduct pre-screening assessments to determine whether applicants meet basic eligibility requirements for the program. Coordinate program interview process, including: Conduct member outreach and schedule all interviews. Schedule follow-up interviews, communicate with accepted and rejected applicants and manage waitlists. Coordinate staffing plans and logistics for program interviews at Chelsea Market and our offsite partners. Maintain accurate data in Salesforce.
Enrollments and Participation:
Support the coordination and project management of all program enrollment and participation including: Notify accepted members about program activities and required documents. Administer intakes and waivers, ensuring 100% completion. Take attendance and contact absent members as needed. Print and distribute course materials. Support the coordination of field exposure and job placement activities such as employer mock interviews and field trips. Notify program members about special activities and schedule changes. Support Food Protection Exam scheduling by notifying members of exam time and location; distribute Food Protection cards to members. Scheduling and coordination of post-training meetings, surveys, and activities for Management Training Institute.
Data Management:
Prompt and highly organized data tracking is key to the success of this position. This includes the real-time collection and inputting of data into Salesforce and other internal tracking documents, including interview results, job opportunities, job placements, survey results, and other critical information.
QUALIFICATIONS
Driven by and have a belief in Hot Bread Kitchen’s values and mission. Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in project management, program administration, or direct service delivery, preferably in workforce development, nonprofit, or education settings. A working understanding of the immigrant experience and the barriers immigrants face when entering or advancing in the workforce; cultural sensitivity are essential. General computer proficiency in Google platforms, and productivity software; familiarity with client relationship management (CRM) databases, like Salesforce, is a plus.

LOCATION AND HOURS
This position requires in-person presence 5 days a week at our facility in Chelsea Market and at our Outpost locations throughout NYC. There is flexibility for hybrid work when programming is not in session. Work hours are 9:00-5:00pm.
COMPENSATION
This is a full time position. The salary range is $60,000
- 64,350 and is commensurate with experience.
This is a non exempt position, eligible for overtime pay. Work hours are tracked and approved overtime is paid accordingly.
