Program Director 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 11004 Atlantic Ave, South Richmond Hill, NY 11419 The SYEP Coordinator at the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Queens is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Work, Learn and Grow and Summer Youth Employment Program. This includes overseeing participant enrollment, coordinating with worksites, and ensuring that all program components are implemented effectively and in compliance with DYCD (Department of Youth and Community Development) guidelines. Responsibilities Plan and implement program enrollment & orientation for participants Recruit and enroll youth participants in the program. Supervise part-time staff and interns, establishing work schedules and monitoring performance. Utilize DYCD systems (e.g., YEPS, DYCD Connect) for data entry and reporting. Maintain relationships with a network of schools, employer partners, community-based organizations, as well as expand and manage external and internal partnerships. Establish and maintain relationships with employers (small and large businesses) to generate job opportunities for youth participants. Match youth qualifications and interests with appropriate job opportunities. Identify and recruit worksites across various industry sectors to host youth placements. Develop and implement recruitment strategies, including job fairs and on-site employer visits. Prepare candidates for interviews through one-on-one sessions or group workshops. Maintain a database of job development leads and employment opportunities. Track and report on placement targets and program outcomes. Market job opportunities to jobseekers through one-on-one meetings, on-site recruitment events, and social media outlets. Perform general administrative duties, such as maintaining records and managing database systems. Requirements Associates degree. Bachelors preferred. Master’s degree required and a minimum of 3-5years of relevant supervisory experience Prior successful experience leading and overseeing DYCD programs and strong skillsets in managing program operations; including development, implementation and evaluation. Must be self-directed, results oriented, and have proven ability to prioritize and execute deliverables efficiently and timely with minimum supervision.
