After-School Program Site Coordinator (AES & OES)
Position Title:
Site Coordinator – After-School Program
Location:
AES and OES (2 Coordinators per building)
Hours:
2:30 PM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Reports to: Building Principal and Program Director
Rate of Pay:

Position Overview:
The After-School Program Site Coordinator plays a key role in designing and overseeing a high-quality after-school experience that supports both the academic and social-emotional needs of students. Each coordinator will be responsible for leading and managing the daily operation of the program at their assigned location, collaborating with team members to ensure activities are enriching, engaging, and aligned with district goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily program operations, including activity scheduling, space setup, and student transitions.
Support a structured academic environment by collaborating with staff to implement homework help, tutoring, or enrichment aligned with students’ academic goals.
Design and lead engaging enrichment activities that promote creativity, teamwork, and social-emotional learning.
Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students by maintaining a structured and nurturing environment.
Supervise staff, ensuring that all team members are fulfilling their roles and maintaining professionalism.
Serve as the point of contact for families, addressing questions, concerns, and ensuring smooth dismissal procedures.
Communicate regularly with the Director and building administration regarding program updates, student needs, and any incidents or concerns.
Maintain accurate attendance records, supply inventories, and documentation as required.
Model respectful, professional behavior and promote a positive team culture among all staff.
Qualifications:
Current OACSD employee preferred.
Warm, friendly personality with a demonstrated ability to relate to and work with children in a positive, respectful manner.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage schedules, and resolve conflicts.
Familiarity with best practices in child development, social-emotional learning, and academic support strategies.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must be dependable and punctual.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience working in after-school programs, summer camps, or school settings.
Experience coordinating teams or leading youth programs.
Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and inclusive programming.
