S387P Description The Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College, SUNY delivers a BFA in Dance and produces two major Purchase Dance Company seasons annually that feature 4-5 original works or major reconstructions. Additionally, we present between 8-12 weekends of fully produced Senior Project productions featuring choreography by 4-6 guest choreographers and 4-6 graduating Seniors each weekend. The Conservatory of Dance also frequently participates in outside productions at major industry venues such as New York Live Arts, The Joyce Theater, BAM Harvey, and Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. With 6 full-time faculty, 2 administrative staff, 1 production manager, additional staff support in the areas of wardrobe and building management, and an adjunct faculty of more than 35 unique instructors hired semester-by-semester, consistent, timely, and communicative program coordination is essential to the Conservatory of Dance’s smooth function. Under the supervision of the Director of the Conservatory of Dance, the Program Coordinator has ongoing responsibility to implement the day-to-day operations of the Conservatory of Dance within the Academic Affairs division of Purchase College, SUNY. The primary responsibilities of the position pertain to the following areas: Enrollment Services, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Institutional Advancement, as well as other related tasks as it pertains to the academic and administrative operations of the Conservatory of Dance. Additional general administrative duties pertain to the Theatre BFA program that is housed in the Dance Building. The Program Coordinator will conduct these duties in collaboration with the Director of the Conservatory of Theatre Arts. Qualifications 1. Undergraduate degree required
