DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position is a specialized role within the Bureau of Safe Drinking Water at the Department of Environmental Protection. As the liaison to the Bureau of Laboratory’s Laboratory Accreditation Program (LAP), you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all sample data submitted to the bureau originates from accredited laboratories and meets the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will also include providing support to both internal and external users, particularly those utilizing the Drinking Water Electronic Laboratory Reporting (DWELR) system. Additionally, you will engage in system management, document management, and data verification activities to uphold the integrity of the Bureau’s data and its management programs. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
Some travel may be required

Telework:

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three years of professional environmental protection experience; and a bachelor’s degree in the biological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes three years of professional environmental protection experience.
