Position Summary:

The Director of OST is responsible for leading the vision and compliance of before and after school programs at Belmont Charter Academy. Our after school programs aim to help students develop academic and life skills. This role will also be charged with hiring and managing part-time staff as well as grants and program partnerships. The individual in this role must have a passion for after school programming and youth development. This is a 12 month position (during the school year: 10am – 6pm; during the summer: 8:30am-5:00pm) that is supervised by the Network Director of OST.

Core Responsibilities:

Program Management Set the vision for daily out of school time programming for site; including programming during the summer, professional development days, and holiday breaks when programming is on site Research and implement evidence based best practices into daily programming including high dosage tutoring Organize culminating events and parent engagement programming Plan educational field trips and assemblies Staff Management Provide leadership, direction and supervision of coordinators and part-time after school program staff; Organize weekly staff schedule Hire and train staff Observe and coach staff to work towards continuous quality improvement Site-Based Operations Lead annual budget planning Submit invoices and supply orders Oversee all aspects of grant compliance including annual audits, site visits, hitting enrollment and attendance goals, student enrollment packets and staff files Communicate information clearly to parents, staff, superiors, partners and other related parties regarding schedule, logistics and goals of programs; Student and staff data compliance oversight

Stakeholder Engagement:

Communicate information clearly to parents, staff, superiors, partners, funders and other related parties regarding schedule, logistics and goals of programs; Participate in parent conferences as needed and in accordance with program regulations; Develop strong relationships with students to ensure psychological safety in the OST program Engage with and plan alongside of funders and community partners Participate in school based leadership team meetings and initiatives Delegation of projects and tasks as needed to achieve goals Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or Education is preferred; 3 years of direct supervision of School Age/High School students; 2 years in a supervisory role in an after school/daycare environment preferred; Basic knowledge of State licensing regulations for a Daycare Center, 21st Century Learning Center grants, ELRC, and/or

PHMC OST

grants preferred ; 2+ years in a supervisory role in an after school/daycare environment preferred
