Job Description
Summary:
Under the supervision of the Program Manager coordinates seasonal and year-round programs designed for adults and youth. Maintains various record keeping systems to produce operating statistical and narrative reports ensuring documentation and record keeping meets or exceeds standards of internal and external grantor and audit requirements.
Responsibilities:
Consistently applies the corporate values of respect honesty and fairness and the constant pursuit of excellence in improving the health status of the people of the region through the provision of customer-friendly geographically-accessible and high-value services within the environment of a comprehensive integrated academic health system. Prepare for and coordinate workplace readiness and workforce development programs for youth and adults; responsible for assisting in the design of innovative programs and researching grant funding. Assist in submission of grant proposals to sustain existing programs and support new programs and partnerships; submits regular progress reports and final reports to the program manager. Work with year-round high school interns and delegates appropriate tasks; execute administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the department. Conducts selection interviews with program applicants makes recommendations for hiring. Works with managers and co-workers to ensure program participants success and department satisfaction and productivity. Provides case management when necessary; assists with counseling and refers program participants to access resources; conducts program evaluations and responds to areas identified as needing improvement. Responsible for meeting outcome measures and tracks outcomes; participates in community programs which support workforce development activities; assists partnerships with educational and training institutions. Responsible for carrying out strategies to align programmatic outcomes with both Brown University Health and statewide workforce development goals Other information:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor�s degree required. Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications required; knowledge of databases highly desirable.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience required. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills Able to effectively delegate tasks Strong organizational skills and pays close attention to detail Possess strong public speaking skills and comfortable presenting to small and large audiences Must have strong leadership skills yet able to be a team player and motivate others Self motivated and able to think critically and independently Experience working with adolescents and underserved populations Possess computer and social media skills as well as data collection and reporting skills
INDEPENDENT ACTION
Works independently establishing own work plan and priorities to assure timely completion of all activities.
