Job Description:
The clerk typist in the location for summer program assists in the daily functions of the Pre-K Department and works closely with the Pre-K department staff. This person will have complete knowledge of all aspects of school policy and procedures as they pertain to students, parents, staff and administration. The program clerk is responsible for any responsibilities assigned. 10 month only Daily rate of pay, contingent upon funding
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of RI Regulations Governing Students with Disabilities Experience writing IEPs aligned with the Rhode Island Early Learning Development Standards in PowerSchool Working knowledge of Skyward and PowerSchool for documentation of evaluations, eligibility, and IEP placements Strong oral and written communication skills Knowledge and experience of implementation and analysis of District assessment tools
RIDE Requirements:
Knowledge of RI Regulations Governing Students with Disabilities Strong oral and written communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CURRICULAR LINKAGES
Perform clerical activities for summer at Pre-K Department to support the Pre-K staff Maintain and manage program records in an organized manner Perform computer related tasks as required Assist in any aspect of the department operation whenever necessary= Create and manage reports using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for school records and data sharing Make and receive telephone calls, take messages, route calls Remind families of appointments Must commit to working every day of the program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Must currently be under a 10-month contract only Must have a track record of excellent customer service Must have a positive growth mindset Must be able to work collaboratively and foster a positive, inclusive culture with all students, families, and summer program staff Must be able to demonstrate superior interpersonal communication and writing skills.
