This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Berkeley Mental Health Center, 403 Stony Landing Road, Moncks Corner, SC 29461
As the Program Coordinator II, you will manage, coordinate and supervise the Berkeley Mental Health Center’s School Based Mental Health Program. Includes establishing services, coordinating contracts, collecting and analyzing data for the purpose of program improvement and meeting goals. Collaborates with the School District to ensure provisions and satisfaction with services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Implements and executes school-based services. Ensures program is properly staffed, clinicians are adequately trained, productive, and the program operates in an efficient and organized manner. Provides leadership to a team that is expected to provide case management services, outreach services, psychotherapy services, and evidence based practices that addresses clients’ needs through the Plan of Care.
Collates and analyzes data that addresses budgetary impacts, resource utilization, and identifies trends in an effort to maximize opportunities for services and make improvements.
Collaborates with the School District, Trident United Way/LINKS personnel, Head Start, and relevant others to ensure contract and grant objectives and outcomes are met. Collects and analyzes outcome data in all school-based sites and makes reports as requested in established time frames.
Provides supervisory oversight and management to clinicians as they serve clients. Ensures that clinicians completes documentation of pertinent clinical and other information in accordance with QA/QI standards, policies and procedures. All medical record documentation will reflect clients’ individualized goals and support service provided and be completed in the manner and time frames detailed by QA/QI policies and procedures.
Participates in Leadership Council, Staff meetings, and planning/organization meetings designed to plan, develop and evaluate programmatic and operational functions of the Center. Attends all meetings prepared to address agenda items. Represents program area needs in planning and evaluation activities.
Supports/promotes quality improvement activities. Actively participates in/contributes to/provides leadership in treatment team meetings focused on client needs and program enhancement/evaluation. Collaborates with Adult and Center supervisors for organizational and program planning, evaluation and development.
Ensures compliance with DMH and CARF standards/policies/procedures.
Adheres to Center, DMH and State Corporate Compliance policies, procedures and regulations.
Comply with training requirements set forth by
BCMHC/SCDMH.
These may include but are not limited to Pathlore, AAA Driver Improvement training, MAPS and QI In-services.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree and relevant program experience.
Agency Minimum Requirement:
A master’s degree in the social sciences.

Preferred Qualifications
Two years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, management experience. Experience in the supervision of mental health services for children and families, in a school-based setting.
Additional Comments
The selected candidate must have knowledge of principles and practices of psychopathology, psychotherapeutic, and crisis interventions in community setting. Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic skills to work with persons of all ages and level of need. Program management and development skills. Personnel management skills and skills in community relations and resource development. Requires travel in community and state.
