PROGRAM SUPERVISOR JOB SUMMARY

The Program Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the Sea Haven Crisis Center, which serves youth ranging in the grades of 12 -17. This is a leadership position, which requires an individual who will supervise a small team, develop, and implement program objectives, evaluation procedures and expected outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader who coaches and effectively translates the mission of the program to their team’s day to day roles. This leader will be experienced in managing behaviors and oversee aspects of the agency via human resources, quality assurance and facility operations. The Program Supervisor reports directly to the Program Director.

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Supervise Daily Operations of Crisis Center Monitor HMIS data quality. Ensure adequate staffing for Crisis Center=SCHEDULE/ Meet with staff individually daily-SUPERVISIONS. Meet with youth informally daily. Meet with entire staff biweekly (staff cases) =

STAFF MTG

Interviews for new hires (all programs) Staff Evaluations Approve program spending and monitor receipts and budget Assist with grant writing Assist with MOAs Data Uploads to

RHY-HMIS

Compile monthly reports Assist with writing policies Sign off on time sheets/approve sick leave & vacation Grant reports (RHY) Manage EOC of the Crisis Center Manage Aftercare Services Corrective Action plans for employees Managing the environment (behavioral, educational, enrichment) Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, & a high degree of cultural competency & sensitivity are required. Follow organizational policy and procedures! Provide excellent customer service Foster strong communication between team and parents Other Duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in a related human service field preferred. 2 years’ experience in human service field, working with transition age youth is preferred. Ability to multitask, Leadership and conflict-management skills.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Competency is defined as the techniques, procedures, technology, skills, or equipment needed to do one’s job. The following competencies are required of this position: age specific competency for children and adolescents, competency in the Administration of Medications, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Life Saving/Safety to include First Aid and CPR; Working with Mental Health Population through utilization of TCI and NMT, Blood Borne Pathogens and Infection Control.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid SC Driver’s license.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, governmental regulations, or legal documentation. Ability to write reports and business correspondence to a prescribed format and style. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of children, top managers, clients and families, volunteers, and the public.

REASONING ABILITY

to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
