Position Overview :

We are looking for a highly organized and skilled Public Assistance (PA) Specialist to join our team in a blended role, which will eventually include grants management responsibilities. As a PA Specialist, you will assist with post-disaster recovery grants, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing top-notch support to applicants. Ideal candidates will have excellent customer service skills, strong computer proficiency, and experience managing large volumes of documentation

  • -Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison among local, state, and federal agencies for the PA program
  • Assist applicants with project documentation, issue resolution, quarterly reports, and site visits
  • Review and analyze documents (invoices, timesheets, contracts) to justify cost line items
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies related to disaster recovery
  • Monitor subrecipient documentation to ensure compliance with federal regulations and deadlines
  • Travel to in-person meetings with FEMA, local governments, and private-non-profits to assess damages
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate disaster impacts on infrastructure (bridges, roads, buildings)
  • Work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment in decision-making

    Associate’s Degree

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other online platforms
