Responsibilities of the

Enrollment Recruiter:

This position is to recruit eligible students with an interest in agriculture, engage with the community, provide community outreach, coordinate and facilitate the admissions process for the students, coordinate with other campus departments for student enrollment, assist community members and other stakeholders with campus tours and information about the agency and campus. Serve as a sounding board for potential student questions and concerns.
Employee will work with limited supervision, but report to department head on regular intervals. Employee must exhibit tact when working with students, parents, public, and stakeholders. Employee will have independence and discretion but will ultimately be working in the best interest of the agency. Employee will regularly be working outside of traditional office environment and will be expected to go to schools, community events, conferences, speaking engagements, and recruiting events outside of traditional business hours. Employee will be expected to work weekends, nights, and complete overnight travel as needed. Employee will be expected to participate in campus events.
Attend recruitment events for students, attend community outreach events, visit schools and guidance counselors, and other events where potential students could be recruited. Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of agency events including, but not linted to Orientation, Preview Days, Shadow Days, Halloween Festival, SC Farm Bureau & CAFLS Tailgate, and Endless Opportunities. Participate in student admissions meetings, interviews and assist with the enrollment process as needed. Other duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant program experience in agriculture, high school students, and event planning. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Additional Requirements:

Employee must have knowledge of recruiting and advising skills. Employee must be proficient in the use and application of technology including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
Employee must be willing to recruit all over the state in state vehicle and overnight stays may be required. Employee must have excellent communication skills. Ability to work with others and independently, willing to learn. Ability to manage time. Additional Comments
