Job Description
We’re looking for a talented individual to coordinate and be point of contact for the South Carolina Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL). The ETPL Coordinator will serve within the Workforce Development Division and will work with DEW, local area staff, and providers of training to ensure effective implementation and sustainability of the ETPL. Work includes examination and interpretation of federal law and regulations, provision of technical assistance through effective and efficient customer service, establishment of practical working relationships both internally and externally, system management, and effective use of technology for reporting and interaction with various entities. This role assists in the coordination of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) workforce activities.
An ideal candidate will have initiative and a customer service orientation with good judgment and the ability to work effectively with others toward a common goal.
Key Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the ETPL Coordinator will:
Review eligible training provider submissions of provider, program, and student data. Maintain the current providers’ information and review any new ETPL submissions. Provide in-person training and assistance to local area and provider staff, on request.
Compose, track, and communicate MOAs with DEW’s legal department.
Conduct independent research of new WIOA legislation, guidance, and directives related to the ETPL. Serve as the subject matter expert and point of contact for DEW, providers, other agency staff, and the public for all inquiries, provisions of information, and technical assistance encompassing the ETPL. Coordinate design, implementation, and daily administrative activities regarding the ETPL.
Analyze ETPL provider and program data to identify trends, research ETPL systems and processes, and identify areas for improvement.
Exercise judgment and discretion through interaction with Local Workforce Development Area (LWDA) personnel, board staff, and partner agency personnel. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, solve problems, think critically and analytically and work well with diverse populations and people at all levels of program delivery. Minimum and Additional Requirements
Education and Experience
A high school diploma and any equivalent combination of education, relevant training and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in administration or a related field and two years relevant experience. Knowledge of federal workforce programs and grant management experience preferred. Additional Comments
