OVERVIEW

The purpose of the Player Engagement Coordinator is to build meaningful relationships with our players by driving engagement, increasing program participation, and enhancing the overall player experience through the SC Education Lottery’s Player’s Club rewards application. This position is also uniquely designed to interact with our players in a face-to-face environment in our Claims Center, where this position will collect winner stories, assist with the disbursement of prizes, and act as a concierge for our winners in the fulfillment of second-chance promotional prizes. Employment with the SC Education Lottery is at-will, and not covered by the State Employee Grievance Procedures Act.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in the planning process for the establishment of a rewards plan, which is executed through our Player’s Club rewards application, to include developing and launching new reward initiatives, challenges, and exclusive perks. Coordinates and maintains the daily operations the of the lottery rewards platform, to include second-chance reward fulfillment. Monitors platform performance, player behavior and gathers player feedback to contribute insights to improve the rewards program, communications, and player journey. Responds to player inquiries related to the rewards platform or product play, providing support and ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally. Works in the SCEL Claims Center, especially on high-volume days, to provide customer service and assistance to players to ensure all documentation is in order for claims processing, and engages with players to collect stories and photos. Provides cross-functional coverage within the Claims Center by processing the disbursement of prizes, on occasion, as-needed. Assists the Brand Activation Manager in the Marketing Department with pre-event administrative support, and provides on-site support, as-needed, at SCEL-sponsored events. Performs other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS A

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or other related field, with at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Additional experience can be substituted for educational requirement. (Prior lottery experience, highly preferred.)

ABILITIES

The Player Engagement Coordinator must have the ability to (1) deal courteously and effectively with players; (2) present themselves in a professional manner, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, especially across all departments; (3) recognize and prioritize issues that may arise, and adjust workflow accordingly; (4) conduct business using knowledge of SCEL policies, regulations and procedures; (5) exercise proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 software; and (6) exercise sound judgment and discretion.
