Position Description Advertised Job Summary The Student Services Program Coordinator II is responsible for processing graduate applications, entering new student data into the University’s data management systems, and processing recommendations for admission as well as updating current student information and working with program personnel to facilitate tracking to degree, including the entry and management of all forms required by the Graduate School. The coordinator will work as part of a team and be responsible for graduate programs as assigned. The coordinator will assist with special projects and events and perform tasks assigned by Senior Leadership of the Graduate School. This will include participation in graduation and other student functions. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Excellent oral and written communications skills and mid-level computer skills. A demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Experience with computer databases, printers, copier and scanning equipment required. Job Duties Job Duty Responsible for the downloading and processing of applications and supporting materials. Applications must be processed according to the corresponding application vendor process and supporting materials must be audited and accounted for before program action. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Responsible for reviewing and processing program recommendations for admission action according to Graduate School policy including a pre-admission audit to assure all materials have been submitted or to take corrective action if materials are missing. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Responsible for processing all applications for graduate degree graduation including all required supporting documentation, the final degree audit, and clearance for the Registrar to post the degree. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Responsible for assisting students and prospective students with admission, matriculation, progression to degree, and graduation matters including a bulletin compliant Program of Study, Committee forms, Comprehensive and Qualifying exams, and other required materials. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Responsible for providing administrative support for Graduate Directors, department faculty, and administrative staff regarding Graduate School policy and procedure in the enrollment of both degree seeking and non-degree seeking graduate students. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Responsible for providing coverage for other coordinators during periods of leave or high volume and for special events provided or hosted by the Graduate School as prescribed by management.
