The South Carolina Public Charter School District is looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven professional to step into the role of State Systems Coordinator at the District office located in Columbia. The incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of professional, administrative, and leadership work in the areas of state programming, including work supported by the Deputy Superintendent of Support & Implementation, Director of State Programs, and District Assessment Coordinator. This position requires an emphasis on support and respectful, responsive service to school-based staff and stakeholders. The employee must demonstrate knowledge regarding educator evaluation and certification, assessment data systems, and state legislative requirements. Professional development knowledge and abilities are included in this role. This position reports to the Director of State Programs via the Chief of Support & Implementation. This position is based in Columbia, SC, with required travel to school sites around the state. 4 Core Functions Oversees state requirements related to educator (ADEPT) and school leader (PADEPP) evaluation and educator certification, including management of the state-hosted SCLead software platform, state reporting, affiliated data and information collections, compliance monitoring and intervention where necessary, as well as the incorporation of relevant components and outcomes into the PCSD SCEducator Portal. Supports the District Assessment Coordinator with state assessments, inclusive of materials coordination, communication management, and the review and storage of testing compliance documentation. Supports the District Assessment Coordinator and Director of State Programs with systems user management and data compliance. Supports the Director of State Programs in the management of state requirements related to Act 114 (the Read to Succeed Act), as well as State Reading Coach support and liaison duties. Responsibilities Oversees the development of the ADEPT budget. Including allocating funding for a variety of district initiatives related to ADEPT, Mentoring, and the Principal Induction Program. Supports the District Assessment Coordinator with formative assessment compliance. Supports the District in the onboarding of new schools, transfer schools, and developing schools in preparation to operate autonomously and effectively within the PCSD portfolio. Supports district staff with records requests related to student assessment for schools who have closed or transferred, in compliance with federal and local guidelines. Assists the Director of State Programs with program-related inquiries, tasks, and reporting, as assigned. Requirements Holds valid teaching certification in South Carolina. At least three years of successful teaching experience in South Carolina; or equivalent experiences which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. District experience preferred, but not required. Credentialed as an

Evaluator (Train the Trainer preferred). Willingness to become PADEPP Evaluator trained. Committed to building great schools for the children of South Carolina through proven experience with coaching and/or mentoring of educators to develop skills and increase capacity. Proven experience with accuracy, attention to detail, and timelines. Knowledge in data analysis and data driven decision making to improve student outcomes. Customer service approach to supporting stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communication skills, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize work. Competency in MS Office, Google, SCLead, and PowerSchool. SCDE Member Center experience is preferred, but not required. Able to travel to schools to provide onsite support and professional development.
