INTERNAL POSTING
– This position is open to current employees of the South Carolina Technical College System. In addition to instructional responsibilities, the First Year Writing Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the assigned instructional program(s) to include: Assisting in program evaluation and development to include curriculum development and course/program implementation Assisting in hiring, training, and mentoring part-time faculty and/or staff Representing the college at campus and community events and serving effectively on college/community committees Assisting the Department Chair in strategic scheduling of classes, assisting with the collection and reporting of academic and other program data, and Assisting in the review and selection of textbooks for courses in subject area. Minimum and Additional Requirements Master’s degree in English or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in English. At least three years of teaching experience with demonstrated leadership ability.
