Job Summary:

The Program Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of youth programs within a designated Club, serving members between the ages of 5 and 18. This role ensures that programs align with the organization’s priority outcome areas: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship. The Program Manager provides guidance to program staff and volunteers while maintaining a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for youth.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Prepare Youth for Success

  • Assist in the administration of Club programs and activities to support youth development outcomes.
  • Help implement program objectives that align with organizational goals and mission.
  • Support the delivery of daily activities in accordance with established standards and goals.
  • Encourage member participation in a variety of programs and activities.
  • Ensure proper conduct, safety, and development of members. Program Development & Implementation
  • Maintain program goals and settings to ensure the health and safety of members.
  • Assist in keeping program areas safe, well-ventilated, and well-maintained.
  • Support program evaluations to track outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Assist with tracking program participation and maintaining accurate records. Supervision
  • Provide guidance and support to program staff and volunteers.
  • Assist in allocating work assignments and providing feedback.
  • Ensure proper documentation of program activities, participation, and notable achievements.
  • Foster a productive and engaging environment for youth and staff. Marketing & Public Relations
  • Help promote Club programs through announcements, flyers, and social media updates.
  • Assist in increasing program visibility through community engagement.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support special programs and events as needed.
  • May be required to assist with transportation needs, including occasional van driving.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding program participation and member progress.
  • Must obtain a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), Class B with a P endorsement (at minimum) within 3 months of employment.
Relationships:
    Internal:

    Work closely with Club staff, members, and supervisors to support program success.

      External:

      Maintain communication with community groups, schools, and parents as needed.

      Required Skills & Qualifications:
        Education & Experience:

        Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

          Experience:

          Minimum of two years in youth programming or a similar environment.

            Skills:

            Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

              Teamwork:

              Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

                Program Knowledge:

                Basic understanding of program development and evaluation.

                  Certifications:

                  CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

                  • This position requires the ability to perform work in an office setting as well as in a highly interactive and emotionally and physically stimulating environment.
                  • Occasional travel between Club sites is required.
                  Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
                  • Energetic and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
                  • Ability to engage with youth in active settings.
