Job Description

Program Manager 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Nashville, TN This position provides administrative support to the Student Affairs Office, Department of Integrative Genomics and Epidemiology, and oversees fiscal, operational, and administrative management of the STRONG grant. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) – Assign a percentage to each essential function (equal to 100%): Works closely with the Assistant Dean, of Student Affairs to plan and implement workshops, and other programs (White Coat Ceremony and Graduate Student Appreciation Week) to facilitate student career and professional development. Assists with preparing grant proposals, including conducting research, gathering internal and external data and developing templates for student proposals and institutional grants. Maintains database of professional development activities for tracking & evaluation- surveys. Manages the calendar and communication of professional development activities.

Handles outside visitor travel:

purchases airline tickets, reserves hotels, processes registrations, completes travel authorization/expense forms, and ensures timely reimbursement. Identifies and advises students needing additional support and provides sustained, individualized, and developmentally appropriate coaching to assist in their social, leadership, and interpersonal development. Develops & maintains an alumni contact list. Provide support to the Department of Integrative Genomics and Epidemiology for the overall implementation of the tracking and evaluation plan, including collecting and analyzing program data to assess program effectiveness and drafting progress reports. Oversee effective and efficient daily operations to support goals and coordinate overall logistics to ensure a successful mission; serve as the primary administrative point of contact and contribute to the department’s overall success through oversight of assigned projects and deliverables. Assist the Department of Integrative Genomics and Epidemiology with planning, administering, and coordinating the activities and objectives of the Program, including organizing meetings. Coordinate with other school administrative staff to manage multiple programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Oversee effective and efficient daily operations to support the STRONG program goals and coordinate overall logistics to ensure successful program implementation; serve as the primary administrative point of contact and contribute to the overall success of the program through oversight of assigned projects and deliverables Assist program investigators with planning, administering, and coordinating activities and objectives, including organizing all investigator meetings to review progress. Provide support for the overall implementation of the tracking and evaluation plan, including collecting and analyzing program data to assess program effectiveness and drafting progress reports. Manage daily financial expenditures; approves and monitors budget expenditures; maintains fiscal records and oversees daily aspects of budget management, including monitoring available funds balances; developing budgets for grants
