The scheduled days will be Tuesday-Friday, 10am-6pm. REQUIREMENTS A
High School Diploma or GED is required at minimum. Applicant for this position must be a current or former mental health consumer with a minimum of two years experience working in the mental health field or a Certified Peer Specialist (CPRS). If not a CPRS, must be qualified and willing to obtain Peer Specialist Certification within one year of hire. Applicant must demonstrate computer literacy skills in Word, Excel and Outlook. Prior supervisory/ leadership experience, certified to teach WRAP, BRIDGES and Wellness classes is desired. A valid Driver’s License and safe driving history is required. The ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written forms of communication is necessary.
JOB DUTIES A
consumer-run Peer Support Center is a central place for consumer self-help, advocacy, and education about mental health issues and resources. The Peer Support Center Program Manager will have responsibility in development with the PSC Coordinator, a program that meets the needs of consumers, standards and requirements of Ridgeview and the Grantor. Duties include general oversight of day to day programming, assisting in hiring, training and evaluating staff and providing documentation in regards to consumers attending. Manager will serve as a ambassador for Ridgeview and advocator for mentally ill and co-occurring adults in the community.
