JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Program Coordinator for the College of Nursing BSN programs is a mission critical position involving coordination of all activities for the BSN program related to student registration, course scheduling, progression, retention, course evaluation, program evaluation, and program accreditation. This position manages the daily administrative operations of the BSN program. This position must interface with the campus and university for reporting and recording data for students and graduates of the BSN program. Responsibilities
Submits mission critical program reports and data to major campus offices (Registrar, Office of Enrollment Services, Office of Student Life, Cashier, Financial Aid, and other academic and administrative offices) and regional and national organizations.
Provides ongoing communication and guidance to new and current students to document plans of study and coordinate faculty approval of plans.
Prepare changes in student status (leave of absence, dismissal, holds), grade changes, student waivers, transfer credit approvals, and concentration changes for approval of the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Program and/or Executive Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and submit to the Registrar’s Office.
Maintains student records on a computerized relational database and in individual student files.
Updates all student and BSN faculty listserv as needed.
Monitor student registrations, etc., within the University system; reviews student registration compared to the plan of study for accuracy.
Maintains approved course descriptions and outcomes for the BSN program.
Formats, distributes, and maintains student plans of study for all cohorts per term; meets with College Chairs to coordinate scheduling of classes and testing for all cohorts per term.
Validates attendance and courses completed by graduates needing verification of degree completion.
Assists with data collection for program evaluation and accreditation.
Creates and maintains all cohort schedules in accordance with the needs of the chairs and the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs
Facilitates BSN course materials (syllabi, course modules, samples of student work, and evaluations-student, preceptor, and site) and forwards to the Executive Associate Dean of Academic Affairs each term.
Assists in the planning and implementation of Academic & Student Affairs special events such as Orientation and White Coat Ceremony in collaboration with the Associate and Assistant Deans
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree. (TRANSCRIPT

).
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of experience in office administration, project coordination, or program coordination; OR a combination of related work experience and education equal to six (6) years.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to multitask and manage a variety of schedules and scheduling.
Skill with technology and various platforms, including Microsoft software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and other technology needs such as ProjectConcert, TAMS, and Clinical Placement software.
Knowledge of campus resources and contacts in order to schedule spaces, arrange for meetings, and obtain the necessary support for meetings and other events such as student orientation.
Ability to collaborate with others on projects to provide special events such as the White Coat Ceremony and assist with working on an intricate scheduling spreadsheet for faculty workload.
Ability to critically think and problem-solve with input from leadership in order to provide important information to students, faculty and other College of Nursing faculty and staff.
Ability to communicate with students and faculty.
Ability to use computers and discern priorities that need to be referred to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs or Concentration Coordinators.
WORK SCHEDULE
