Job Summary Non-Exempt temporary employment The Multicultural Center is accepting applications for Temporary BUCS Academy Leaders. The BUCS Academy Leader position is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership, role modeling, and student engagement skills. The BUCS Academy Leader position provides practical experiences applicable in business, sociology, psychology, education, political science, and criminal justice. The BUCS Academy Leader’s fundamental role is to build and maintain a community that engages students and creates an atmosphere for academic success and personal development. The BUCS Academy Leader helps build positive relationships among student participants, beginning with this summer’s program and continuing over the academic year. The BUCS Academy Leader may qualify for and be chosen to participate in the

MCC/BUCS

Ambassador program. In addition to the ever-evolving needs of our students, other duties may be assigned.

The leader is expected to know and abide by the university, MCC, and BUCS Academy’s policies, procedures, and program rules. ETSU is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Extensive walking Required Qualifications Be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior student enrolled at ETSU.
Be in good standing in the areas of conduct and academics.
Have earned at minimum 30 credit hours at ETSU to date or upon the completion of the previous semester.
Be available and accessible throughout the entire program.
Must be available for (4) four weeks of employment during the program period and (1) one week during the Fall semester. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as a BUCS Academy student participant and/or team leader.
Prior experience as a Quest leader, Polo leader, Expedition leader, and/or Resident Assistant. Salary $13/hr
