Qualifications:
OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE

Under the directionof the Senior Manager for Staffed Living and Public Safety, theProgram Coordinator for Staffed Living assists in overseeingplacements for individuals with intellectual disabilities inStaffed Living. They will be knowledgeable about DS Public Safetyclients, stay informed about their status, and ensure thecompletion of required public safety documentation. The ProgramCoordinator for Staffed Living serves as the Service Coordinatorfor clients in Staffed Living, ensuring all required documentationis completed, monitoring their needs and well-being, and advocatingon their behalf. Additionally, they provide training and guidanceto Specialized Direct Support Providers (SDSP), ensuring proceduralcompliance and best practices. They support safe and appropriateplacements while prioritizing the well-being of individuals and thecommunity.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

PROGRAM

DEVELOPMENT ANDSUPERVISION

The Program Coordinator for Staffed Living may assignand direct the work of SDSPs. provides administrative supervisionto Specialized Direct Support Professionals (SDSPs). They monitorservice quality, assist with program operations, develop staffschedules, and implement and oversee required staff training.

Additionally, they help develop treatment plans and ensure thecompletion of all required annual documentation for clients in theStaffed Living and Public Safety Program. In collaboration with theSenior Manager, the Program Coordinator ensures compliance withpolicies and procedures. They may also participate in the DSEmergency On-Call System. The Program Coordinator for StaffedLiving works closely with DS clinical staff and DAIL’s PublicSafety Specialist to facilitate ongoing communication and training.

They ensure the Staffed Living program meets necessary trainingrequirements, including approved restraint procedures (Human rightsCommittee) when required, to maintain the safety of Public Safetyclients and the community. They will ensure that the monthly censusis completed timely and adherence to all regulatory requirementsand UCS policies. Additionally, they support the Senior Manager incompleting VOTIPS and SOTIPS assessments for Public Safety and ACT248 clients, as well as fulfilling monthly reporting requirementsand ensuring timely submission to

DAIL. HOUSING

SOLUTIONS and

CRISIS SUPPORT

The Program Coordinator for Staffed Living workswith community members and service providers to address housingchallenges for individuals in the program. Responsibilities includeassisting with recruiting and hiring staff as needed, collaboratingwith local landlords to secure appropriate housing, and assistingclients in advocating for their needs while maintaining ongoingcommunication with guardians. In times of crisis or housing-relatedescalations, the Program Coordinator provides positiveinterventions and strategic support for DS clients. Theyproblem-solve and develop creative solutions to assist individualsin crisis, ensuring they receive the necessary resources andsupport.

QUALITY ASSURANCE AND COMPLIANCE

The Program Coordinatorwill develop tracking systems to monitor completion of requiredPublic Safety documentation and other organizational tools.

NETWORKING AND CONSULTATION / EDUCATION

The Program Coordinatorserves on agency committees as assigned and represents the divisionon the statewide Public Safety Committee. They assist ServiceCoordinators in coordinating services and provide training asneeded, including approved restraint procedures, ensuringcompliance with all training requirements. Additionally, theProgram Coordinator mediates staff concerns, offering guidance andsupport as needed. They also act as a client advocate,collaborating with community housing organizations to secureappropriate resources and support for individuals in the program.

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT, RECORD KEEPING, AND FISCAL MONITORING

Facilitates and documents the person-centered program planningprocess (Needs Assessment, Person’s story, ISA); Collaborates withservice providers to ensure that the ISA is implemented and iseffective; Ensures that all regulations are being followed.

Prepares reports, as requested. Reviews management and outcomereports completed by managers. Review waiver budgets as appropriateand advise the Division Director of necessary changes.

ADDITIONALDUTIES IN SUPPORT OF ORGANIZATION

In addition to the above,performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or five years’ experience in similarrole or experience assisting in carrying out duties may besubstituted for bachelor’s degree. May be willing to train aself-directed professional. Supervisory experience required.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilitiesstrongly preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

ValidDriver’s License

COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED
