The Special Projects Project Manager is responsible for supporting in a specified number of project management activities and operational support for our home grown de novos (‘new hospitals’) pipeline across the SVP US footprint. The main responsibilities of the Special Projects Project Manager centers around project management support in the implementation of de novo development alongside the De Novo Senior Director and our real estate partners to meet specified timelines of execution, enabling the staffing, training and de novo onboarding for new units, while supporting in overseeing the performance of these units relative to their growth roadmap over at least their first six months to a year of operation. Furthermore, the Special Projects Project Manager will be expected to support in the engagement and development of key relationships with clinical, financial, strategy, marketing, HR and real estate partners to ensure the highest level of coordination in the execution of de novo growth initiatives Responsibilities /

Qualifications:
General Management Responsibilities:

Support in the hiring and development process of Hospital Managers and their teams Support in coordinating schedules for DVM recruiting and onboarding for each de novo Engage and develop relationships with DVM’s and Hospital Managers to support a high standard of care to be performed in hospitals Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and updating project reports Ensure each hospital is compliant with OSHA and other applicable local, state and federal regulations Create an excellent work environment for teammates, clients and pets

Project Management:

In partnership with the Senior Director, clinical and home office teams, support the establishment of the de novo implementation pipeline that meets and exceed agreed upon business goals and timelines for new units Partner with real estate on functions in new site selection, architectural layout and implementation of de novos, as well as support in the development of de novo archetypes/layouts Communicate with key stakeholders and partners regarding information are documentation that’s needed to support de novo growth initiatives Planning, development, coordination and management of all aspects of de novo projects Support in the coordination and alignment on a broad range of stakeholders to deliver business goals Develop, manage, deliver and monitor project reports, plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, resourcing, communications and business-related deliverables ensuring deviations are addressed timely and appropriately Build strong relationships and establish trust with internal and external partners Proactive risk mitigation and management with internal and external partners Support in developing and improving project management processes

Financial Management:

Maintain communication as required, to discuss outcome of any identified opportunities and/or barriers to the successful completion of the project financials Ability to support in communicating and deliver a message about financial progress and outcomes to multiple audiences (home office and field leadership, DVMs, and team members) Ability to support communicate hospital goals and objectives to all team members in a way that supports both agreed upon business outcomes and hospital culture Support in managing cost containment including inventory management, cash/banking control, loss prevention, collections of accounts receivable, and office and medical supply ordering Support in maintaining a safe work environment by managing and monitoring all OSHA guidelines, DEA compliance, and all local, state and federal laws (including both medical governance and employee labor guidelines)

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 3 years’ experience managing multi-site veterinary hospitals Vet Med is required Self-starter, solutions oriented; ability to proactively identify issues and facilitate solutions Ability and adaptability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced and evolving work environment from conception to completion across a portfolio Strong organizational skills and detail oriented Experience with managing budgets, delivering information from P&L statements and delivering strong results within a growth-oriented organization Exceptional written and oral presentation skills; ability to present concisely and with detail Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data A strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite Proficiency in project management tools and best practices preferred Ability to work independently and as pert of a team Ability to travel by air and car for periods of time; Up to 50%
