The Director of Project Management is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the organization, ensuring they align with business goals and objectives. This role involves leading a team of project managers, managing budgets, and implementing process improvements to enhance project efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of project managers to ensure effective project delivery.
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and efficiency.
Implement change management processes to adapt to evolving project requirements.
Oversee resource allocation to optimize team performance and project outcomes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance project management practices.
Ensure compliance with government regulations and standards in all project activities.
Foster a culture of leadership and teamwork within the project management team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in budgeting and financial management for large-scale projects.
Strong knowledge of change management principles and practices.
Demonstrated ability in team development and leadership.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Experience in commercial, federal, and industrial project management is highly desirable.
Familiarity with construction and security project management is a plus.
