Duties:
- Accomplishes electrical engineering human resource objectives byrecruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling,coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating jobexpectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing jobcontributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions;enforcing policies and procedures.
- Achieves electricalengineering operational objectives by contributing electricalengineering information and recommendations to strategic plans andreviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementingproduction, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards;resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends;determining administrative system improvements; implementingchange.
- Meets electrical engineering financial objectives byforecasting electrical engineering requirements; preparing anannual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances;initiating corrective actions.
- Develops strategic electricalplans by studying operational plans; studying existing conditions;determining needs to accomplish operational plans; mappingsolutions; updating and modifying requirements and solutions;preparing cost estimates and budgets.
- Plans electrical projectsby determining specifications; selecting contractors; establishinginstallation schedules; planning shut-downs and installations;integrating requirements with architectural and mechanical designs;verifying code requirements; updating cost estimates.
- Completeselectrical projects by supervising installations; resolving designissues.
- Maintains electrical systems by establishing andenforcing preventive and on-going maintenance, and testingprograms; scheduling repairs; coordinating shut-downs andinstallations.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment byestablishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures;complying with codes and legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledgeby remaining current on codes and requirements; participating ineducational opportunities; reading professional publications;maintaining personal networks; participating in professionalorganizations.
- Accomplishes engineering and organization missionby completing related results as needed.
