Job DescriptionThe person is responsible for the tactical and strategic management of TA Services project management. This position is responsible for communication with staff and clients, facilitates timely decisions and monitors the progress of the project to keep it on schedule. This position plays a prominent role in all aspects of the project including managing the project’s time, cost, scope, quality, risk, customer satisfaction and return on investment of the project. Works with project sponsor to gain approval and identify project resources and decision makersCreates long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlinesOrganizes resources and effectively delegating tasks to employees best positioned to complete themWorks with project Sponsor to define ROI for Steering Committee approval and method of calculating ROI post implementationAnalyzes complex and at time ambiguous customer and business partner requirements to identify project requirements and goalsFacilitates effective decision making when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the projectMaintains and documents project plan status and provides scheduled updates to customer and other stake holdersCommunicating with project sponsor & Steering Committee to keep the project aligned with goalsAdjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed and approval for material project changesPerforming quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expectedEnsures that implementations meet or exceed customer service goals and conducting project lessons learnedEnsures stability of new accounts and proper handoff to operations and support departmentsOther duties as required and assignedQualificationsExcellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customersCapable to formulate and document project charter, scope and project planAbility to lead projects and work as part of a cross functional teamAbility to communicate with various levels of the organization as well as various levels of the customer’s organizationAbility to lead, develop and coach teamsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions from client or internal workstream ownersExcellent planning and organizational skillsStrong problem-solving skillsQuality driven and results orientedHighly motivated self-starter able to operate effectively with minimal supervisionTravel required up to 20%
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year university or college; an emphasis on Logistics/Transportation preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in project management or logistics role; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification, preferred but not required • Experience with Project Management software preferred (Jira & Confluence)PC literate with expertise in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and ExcelWould consider candidates with business process or engineering background with ability to work in cross functional teamsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
