Job Description

Position Summary:

Mauricio Ducassi is looking for a Director of Project Management for a CDMO client to contribute to their mission by leading, developing, and improving the performance of the Project Management team and ensuring quality service to my client’s pharmaceutical partners. The Director will be responsible for all aspects of the department including quality and performance, staff, resourcing and selections, and support of study deliverables. Ensure that staff completes projects or programs on time, within budget, and to customers’ satisfaction. Must-Have Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience): Must be willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a life sciences field Minimum of 7 years project management experience, preferably in the Contract Research (CRO), Pharmaceutical, or Biotech industry Strong preference for management of genomics projects Demonstrated progressive managerial experience Excellent understanding of the principles of project management Ability to lead a global project team with multi-country participants and contributors The ability to resource and manage external vendors Working knowledge of

CLIA, CAP, GCP, ICH

guidelines, FDA and other applicable country regulations PMP certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure project success through the effective management of a team of project managers and support staff Improve the performance of the team through workflow improvement initiatives Develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders including upper management, clinical sites, laboratory, and logistics Maintain in-depth knowledge of the range of genomics services available for customers and emerging research needs for customers Oversee customer issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise job results Develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards Foster a culture that leverages metrics to make informed decisions Collaborate with Quality to ensure the department meets quality standards: create SOPs; respond to non-conformances; develop Corrective Action/Preventative Actions Collaborate on the company’s product line and customer needs with product management and feasibility
