Job Summary:
The Program Controls Analyst supports the successful execution of government contracts by developing, managing, and analyzing cost, schedule, and performance data. This role ensures compliance with internal and external requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations. The analyst will work closely with Program Managers, Contracts, Finance, and Technical teams to provide insight into program health and proactively address risk areas. The position is located in our Huntsville, Alabama office. Office hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. This is an in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain program cost/schedule baselines, forecasts, and variance analysis Monitor performance against budgets and schedules Prepare and deliver Contract Performance Reports (CPRs), Integrated Program Management Reports (IPMRs), and other deliverables per contractual requirements Support monthly and quarterly reviews (e.g., Program Management Reviews, IPMRs) with internal and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with government regulations (FAR/DFARS), company policies, and customer requirements Conduct risk and opportunity analysis and support mitigation planning Interface with Finance, Contracts, Subcontracts, and Procurement for program-wide controls support Assist in proposal pricing, Basis of Estimate (BOE) development, and support to cost volume for new bids Participate in audits (e.g., DCAA, DCMA) and internal reviews Support program startup and close-out processes including documentation and cost reconciliation
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of experience in program controls or project controls in a federal contracting environment Familiarity with cost accounting standards, FAR, and DFARS Proficiency with Excel and cost/schedule tools Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Must be a
US Citizen Preferred:
Experience with reporting (CPR/IPMR) Working knowledge of
DCMA, DCAA
