We have the following position available in our Huntsville office: Project Manager•RF Systems 25-047 Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Technical Project Manager with an Electrical Engineering background to support our Government customers in the execution of advanced RF systems programs. This role will lead technical projects and teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities for Department of Defense initiatives, ensuring technical excellence, cost control, and schedule adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties Include :
Lead planning and execution of complex RF system development efforts, working closely with engineers and program stakeholders to ensure alignment with customer requirements and technical standards. Identify potential project risks and develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables. Oversee project budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions without compromising project quality and compliance. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables. Ensure adherence to government contracting regulations and standards, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Management of key vendor relationships, including working closely with our in-house procurement team to ensure successful and timely procurements. Coordinate and facilitate communications between project technical teams and customers. Participation in new business development activities by identifying new opportunities with existing customers and supporting proposal efforts to market current capabilities to new customers. Providing technical oversight and project leadership to ensure successful integration and delivery of RF systems and subsystems. Monitor and manage project scope, schedule, and budget using project management best practices and tools such as JAMIS ERP and Microsoft Project.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar from an accredited university program. Minimum 5 years of hands-on technical experience in RF systems, including design, analysis, testing, or integration. Significant demonstrated successful performance managing hardware and software development projects for DoD customers. Working knowledge of RF hardware and software development best practices. Knowledge of defense system development practices, including radar, communications, or electronic warfare systems. Familiarity with RF hardware design, signal processing, and system integration. U.S. Citizenship required, including successful completion of a background check. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance Preferred skills: Knowledge of hardware design and integration processes is strongly preferred, especially as it pertains to radar and RF systems. Experience managing projects using Jamis Prime or a similar ERP system Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Work Environment:
Office, laboratory, and field environment. Must be willing to travel to customer locations, field tests, and meetings 10%. This position is expected to be performed only in the state of Alabama.
