Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide array of litigation matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all aspects of litigation cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, motions, briefs, pleadings, and depositions.
2. Conducting comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
3. Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
4. Coordinating and managing electronic document production and discovery processes.
5. Representing clients in court appearances and depositions.
6. Assisting with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit preparation, and trial strategy development.
7. Collaborating with other attorneys and paralegals to ensure efficient case management.
8. Providing legal advice to clients on a range of employment litigation matters.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois (Illinois Bar).
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Associate Attorney, with a focus on employment litigation.
4. Proficient in drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, and managing discovery processes.
5. Excellent legal writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
6. Strong case management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
7. Experience with electronic document production and legal research tools.
8. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
9. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to represent clients effectively in court.
10. Prior experience in a law firm setting is preferred.
