Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in federal acquisition, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) management, milestone tracking, and deliverable quality assurance (QA). The ideal candidate will manage complex federal projects, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations and delivering results on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:

Develop, manage, and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for assigned federal projects. Lead project planning sessions, establish project goals, and develop detailed work plans. Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closeout.

Federal Acquisition Management:

Oversee federal acquisition processes, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Manage acquisition planning, source selection, contract management, and post-award activities. Collaborate with contracting officers and other federal stakeholders to ensure contract compliance.

Milestone Tracking and Reporting:

Monitor project milestones, ensuring timely completion of deliverables. Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to federal stakeholders. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Deliverable Quality Assurance (QA): Implement and maintain a robust quality assurance process for project deliverables. Conduct quality reviews to ensure compliance with federal standards. Coordinate corrective actions to address quality issues and ensure continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for federal clients and stakeholders. Facilitate regular client meetings to review project status, discuss challenges, and provide updates. Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead cross-functional project teams, providing mentorship and guidance. Manage team performance, set expectations, and provide regular feedback. Ensure all team members are CAC-eligible and maintain necessary clearance protocols. clearance protocols.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain a risk register. Proactively address potential project challenges to prevent delays or budget overruns.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience managing federal acquisition projects. Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Proven experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) management and milestone tracking. Experience in quality assurance and compliance for project deliverables. Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills. Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira). Proficiency with Primavera for schedule development and monitoring. Tier 2 Clearable and CAC-Eligible.

Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM). Experience with ISO 9001 and Six Sigma methodologies. Prior experience working with federal agencies (DOD, DHS, VA, etc.). Familiarity with document management systems (SharePoint, Confluence). Experience with shipbuilding programs or shipyard environments.
