- Manager will be part of the team at UNITED responsible for establishing a Project Management Office (PMO) which will partner with all areas of the business to manage the lifecycle of key projects for UNITED.
What your day will look like: Builds positive associate morale Manage all aspects of UNITED projects across all functional areas of the company Focus will be on complex cross-functional projects but may include support for other key initiatives that are specific to certain departments. Provide expertise and best practices for associates outside of the PMO that may have project management responsibilities Define project scope and objectives Determine internal and external resources required Estimate project costs Establish and track a budget Develop a detailed project plan using tools determined by the PMO Identify cross-functional interdependences and take actions to resolve Establish and manage project update meetings Report project progress to various stakeholders Provide insights into the overall portfolio of projects Align projects to UNITED’s corporate strategic plan Memorialize project learnings through conducting post-mortem analysis against desired results Collaborate with other PMO team members on project management methodology and contribute to continuous improvement of the processes Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management What you need to succeed: Minimum age 18 years old Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology Strong leadership and organizational skills Performs work under general supervision.
