Heritage Housing, Inc. develops and constructs affordable housing and mixed-income housing across New England.

The Assistant Project Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Construction and will collaborate on key tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, submittals, and procurement. The position will be based out of Heritage Housing, Inc.’s Norwalk office, but will include occasional travel to sites across New England. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Vice President of Construction and play a key role in the successful planning and execution of construction projects.
  • Assist with scheduling and budgeting.
  • Coordinate and communicate with owners, the Vice President of Construction, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Assist with subcontracting bidding and material and equipment procurement.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare and submit RFIs to the design team. Review and disburse design team responses to the project team.
  • Help identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation.
  • Support the project team in resolving any issues that may arise during construction.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and provide updates.
  • Assist with gathering and circulating close out documents to project stakeholders. Physical Demands
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds
