Team Overview You will join a growing, high-performing Finance team of 6 professionals and report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. Position Overview The Project Finance Manager will lead the execution of complex transactions across the company’s commercial segments: utility-scale solar and storage, distributed energy (community solar, C&I, microgrids), and standalone battery storage. This is a hands-on role involving full-cycle project finance, M&A execution, and cross-functional leadership across internal and external stakeholders. This position is based in Stamford, CT and offers a hybrid work schedule . Key Responsibilities Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of all project finance transactions including project debt, tax equity, acquisitions, asset sales, and co-development deals. Drive M&A efforts: support bid strategy, oversee due diligence, manage advisors, and negotiate key contracts (e.g., purchase agreements, LOIs). Collaborate with internal teams-land, development, engineering, legal-to guide execution of complex transactions. Provide financial and strategic support to the development team on deal structuring, commercial terms, and risk mitigation. Mentor and manage analysts and associates on modeling, diligence, and transaction workstreams. Create and manage internal project tracking tools and milestone reporting. Support senior leadership with ad hoc financial analysis, scenario modeling, and investment decision support. Manage the NDA process and lead drafting of LOIs for potential transactions. Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to inform strategy. Travel as needed for due diligence, site visits, and external meetings. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field. 5-10 years of relevant experience in project finance, investment banking, infrastructure private equity, or corporate development, with a strong focus on renewable energy. Proven track record in closing complex transactions, including debt financing, tax equity, and M&A. Deep understanding of financial modeling, capital structures, and transaction documentation. Strong leadership and cross-functional project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Willingness to travel for transaction-related responsibilities and industry events.
