Job Description
Spencer Ogden is partnered with a rapidly growing Independent Power Producer (IPP) that develops, owns, and operates clean energy infrastructure across the U.S. With a diversified portfolio spanning utility-scale solar and storage, distributed generation (including community solar and microgrids), and standalone battery storage, our client is scaling their investment and M&A activity and looking for a Project Finance Manager to lead transaction execution across their platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of M&A and project finance transactions including acquisitions, construction and term financing, tax equity structuring, and asset sales Manage deal teams including legal, engineering, development, and external advisors from initial bid through close Support commercial strategy through financial modeling, structuring guidance, and internal memo development Mentor and support junior project finance professionals Draft NDAs and letters of intent; oversee transaction timelines and milestone tracking Represent the company in diligence meetings and external industry events Provide research and ad hoc analysis for senior leadership
Ideal Background:
5-10 years’ experience in project finance or transactional energy/infrastructure roles Strong command of US renewable energy financing structures (e.g., tax equity, debt, M&A) Experience with solar project acquisition and financing (e.g., p-flip, sale-leasebacks, term loans) Skilled in interpreting commercial agreements and translating them into financial models Proficiency in Excel financial modeling and MS Office suite
