Description:
The Senior Low Voltage Project Manager is a pivotal leadership role that encompasses overseeing and managing low voltage projects, with specialized expertise in fiber optics, ONT (Optical Network Terminal), Cat 6 cabling, training, customer support, and internet infrastructure installations in residential and commercial properties. This multifaceted position involves coordinating project activities, leading project teams, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met, providing technical guidance on fiber optic network design and installation, conducting quality control inspections, delivering training programs, offering ongoing customer support, maintaining detailed project documentation, and traveling throughout the United States to oversee and manage fiber optic installations and internet infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of low voltage projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables related to fiber optics and internet infrastructure installations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on fiber optic network design, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in fiber optic installations.
- Develop and deliver training programs on fiber optics installations for project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure compliance with installation and maintenance procedures.
- Offer ongoing customer support related to fiber optics infrastructure, addressing technical issues, inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and updates to accurately track project progress and outcomes.
- Travel to project sites across the United States, including residential and commercial properties, to oversee fiber optic installations and internet infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in low voltage project management, with a strong background in fiber optics installations for internet infrastructure.
- Proficiency in fiber optic network design, installation, troubleshooting, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel frequently within the United States and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as BICSI, RCDD, or PMP are preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
