Full Job Description Summary:
The Project Manager, Strategy & Transformation, will support the Transformation Office in its mission to lead strategic deployment and operational excellence across the organization. Reporting to the VP, Strategy & Transformation, this role will assist in the development and deployment of our Lean business system, by coordinating events, initiatives, and reviews that empower the organization to achieve its strategic objectives and foster continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and support the execution of strategy deployment activities, including maintaining schedules, tracking milestones, and preparing materials for monthly operating reviews. Assist in the planning and facilitation of Lean events, such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Kaizen workshops, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Maintain detailed project documentation, including action items, timelines, and progress reports, to ensure transparency and accountability across initiatives. Collaborate with the Transformation Office team and business area leaders to gather data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitor progress toward strategic goals. Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess operational performance, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making. Map business processes, gather requirements, and analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement within Lean initiatives. Act as a liaison between the Transformation Office and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination for initiatives and events. Support the creation, maintenance, and refinement of a centralized hub for Lean tools, templates, and training resources to empower teams, enhance organizational capabilities, and ensure consistent adoption across the organization. Support the design and implementation of feedback loops to assess training effectiveness, address gaps, and refine Lean tools and programs for continuous improvement. Manage logistics for strategic deployment and Lean events, including scheduling, participant communications, and other operational needs to ensure seamless execution. Support the transition from consultant-led efforts to internally sustained Lean practices, assisting with documentation, training, and process development. Qualifications /
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Engineering, Industrial/Systems Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in Lean-driven project management, Lean transformation, business process improvement, or operations support, with direct involvement in Lean methodologies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess operational challenges and identify data-driven solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Visio, etc.). Experience working cross-functionally to align teams around Lean initiatives by engaging stakeholders across departments and at all leadership levels. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive project records. Preferred experience in industries such as aviation, MRO, financial services, manufacturing, or OEM, where Lean practices are valued.
