Permit Closeout Coordinator CW Fischer Electric Pompano Beach, FL 33064 C.W. Fischer Electric is a growing residential / commercial electrical contractor known for high-quality workmanship, timely service, and strong community ties. We’re currently looking for a reliable and organized Permit Closeout Coordinator to help us finalize electrical permits on completed residential projects. If you enjoy keeping things on track, talking with city inspectors, and closing loops, this is the role for you! As the Permit Closeout Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for managing the end-of-project tasks related to permits and inspections. You’ll work directly with building departments, electricians, and homeowners to ensure permits are closed quickly and correctly after the job is done.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate final inspections with local municipalities for completed electrical work.
- Track the status of open permits and follow up to ensure timely closure.
- Submit documentation (photos, diagrams, forms) required by the city or county for permit closeout.
- Communicate with homeowners to schedule inspections and provide updates as needed.
- Work closely with electricians and office staff to gather missing documents or resolve outstanding issues.
- Maintain an organized permit log and digital records.
- Respond to requests from inspectors or permit offices professionally and promptly.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and permit requirements.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in permitting, project coordination, or residential construction (electrical experience is required).
- Familiarity with city or county permitting processes.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, online permitting portals, and email.
- High attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience with residential electrical systems (service upgrades, panel swaps, EV chargers, etc.).
- Ability to use tools, open and close electrical panels, and complete minor tasks requested by inspectors.

$23.00 – $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
