ROOFING PROJECT MANAGER

Established Commercial Roofing Contractor is looking for a Commercial Roofing Project Manager candidate for immediate start. Base salary and quarterly bonus included. Minimum of 3 years of experience with project management, commercial roof systems, construction management, and ability to train others. As the primary company representative for major building projects, the Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring successful project outcomes. The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of planning, executing and closing out commercial roofing projects. From design to completion, the Project Manager proactively directs and supervises all activities to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable, and safe manner. Working closely with project coordinators, estimators, Sales, Accounting, vendors, and subcontractors, the Project Manager is a key player in achieving all objectives. Responsibilities Plan, organize and schedule the activities of construction managers and subcontractors to achieve project objectives Liaison with building owner/rep to facilitate roofing projects activities Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is performed on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures with Construction Manager. Represent company in project meetings, assist in subcontracting negotiations/strategy meetings, etc. Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect project’s budget and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Clients and Vendors. Ensure all company and project policies, procedures, quality standards, are followed and executed accordingly. Maintain project folder organized. Assist with overall job site safety plans and programs. Review contracts to understand project requirements and constraints Request quotes and bids from Subcontractors, Vendors, evaluating the responses to award contracts based on price, value, experience, customer service, etc. Review Engineering drawings and reports to ensure proper system design to meet customers’ needs and deliverables of contract. Facilitate weekly project meetings and track actions items. Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required Education Minimum 3 years’ experience managing commercial roofing projects Knowledge of the Florida Product Approvals Experience with TPO, Modified, and Built-Up Roof Systems preferred 3+ years in leadership/management 3+ years in relevant industry (construction, roofing, building envelope) Experience with multi-site management Experience managing projects from start to finish Client relationships and interactions Experience working with subcontractors Project Management Experience- preconstruction, project execution, project closeout Management of personnel and functions Microsoft Office Tools Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record Successful Pre-Employment Drug Test Successful Background Check Bilingual – English and Spanish a plus Excellent communication, presentation and follow up skills required Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment A strong work ethic and a high level of self-motivation Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
