Job Description General Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of a facilities,materials, environmental, or geotechnical engineering project toensure that it is safely completed on time and within scope andbudget. Responsible for completing the project as per itscontracted scope; monitor progress and performance against theproject plan. Troubleshoot and recommend or resolve operationalproblems and minimize delays. May be responsible for resourcemanagement, project scheduling, budgets and forecasts, and workingwith external vendors, subcontractors or contractors. Conductmeetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of theproject to the project team and client. Set priorities, assigntasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets andmilestones. Communicate with the client and deliver work productsto their satisfaction. Coordinate efforts with APR to ensureengagement throughout the project, especially at criticaljunctures. Involved with approving invoices, preparing changeorders, and collections.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of a large scale and complexproject. Work with the client or NAM to define project scope, schedule,and budget. Lead interactions with the client and stakeholders to ensuretheir goals are considered in the execution of the work. Design, communicate, and implement a project plan forcompleting a project. Lead safety efforts, including preparation and compliance withthe approved safety plan. Resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to completethe project. Prepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules,budgets, and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff,and contractors. Estimate costs, resources, and time required tocomplete. Prepare forecasts for expenditures and manage scope andschedule to meet budget. Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks toensure targets are met. Partner with other departments or offices to secure specializedresources for the project. Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate theproject status. Coach and mentor project staff and assist inproblem-solving. Coordinate with APR for appropriate oversight and qualityreviews. Coordinate with accounting for financial management, invoicing,and collections. Develop understanding of project-related risks and companypolicies to mitigate them. Lead safety efforts and promote a safe workenvironment. Monitor and promote quality standards and practices. Ensure consistent quality standards in project and proposaldelivery, engaging APRs at project onset. Begin documented mentoring and application process for TerraconAuthorized Project Reviewer certification.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science,Geology, or related field, with a minimum of 10 years’ relatedexperience, or 14 years’ experience without a degree. Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), orsimilar relevant registration/certification.
