As a Geomatics Project Manager, P.S.M. , you will oversee and manage geomatics projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and client satisfaction. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise in geomatics and surveying, and the ability to effectively coordinate project teams and maintain strong client relationships.

Essential Job Functions:
Project Leadership:

Lead and manage geomatics projects, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, laser scanning, GIS mapping, and other geospatial initiatives.

Client Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, managing relationships, and providing regular project updates.

Team Coordination:

Collaborate with internal teams (survey crews, CAD technicians, GIS specialists, and administrative staff) to ensure project tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.

Project Planning:

Develop budgets, schedules, and timelines; monitor progress; and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve project goals.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough quality checks on survey data, geospatial products, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Regulatory Compliance:

Interpret and apply land surveying regulations, zoning codes, and other requirements to ensure compliance.

Documentation Management:

Maintain organized project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and reports, adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.

Risk Management:

Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on scope, schedule, and budget.

Process Improvement:

Implement best practices, lessons learned, and enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Licensure:

Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (P.S.M.) in the state of Florida, or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of post-registration experience . Minimum of 4 years of progressive survey experience .

Technical Proficiency:

Strong understanding of geospatial technologies and methodologies.

Software Skills:

Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, GIS software).

Leadership Abilities:

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.

Analytical Skills:

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Licenses/Certifications:

Professional Surveyor and Mapper License (Required) Driver’s License (Required) Surveyor License (Required)

Travel:

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
