Bonus Target Summary:
The role of the Senior Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects meeting scope, timing, and budget objectives. This position includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Senior Project Manager will create and maintain all project management artifacts. This role necessitates a combination of project methodology expertise, leadership acumen, and business insight to ensure the successful execution of project objectives. The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the PMO Manager, who could have a functional reporting relationship with the leader within a given IT discipline.
Essential Functions:
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and transparent fashion
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
Track project milestones and deliverables
Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle
Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies, including agile and waterfall
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company
Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments, if necessary, during the project cycle
Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
Perform Enterprise or Organizational Change Management tasks to drive user adoption
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
PMI PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is preferred
Training or certification on
IIBA BABOK
a plus
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) training and certification are a plus
Technical certifications in the following areas are a plus: Microsoft O365, SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps, Power
BI, D365 CE, D365
ERP, etc.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of experience in the information technology field
Minimum of 3 years experience in a project management role
Proven experience as a Project Manager
Demonstrated experience in personnel management
Experience in a global multi-site manufacturing company is a plus
Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
